FOLSOM BEAD
TEXAS
University Of Kansas
Department Of Anthropology

Clovis people most certainly wore different types of body ornaments. Beads can be traced back in Europe to Neanderthals. This tiny Folsom bead was found stuck to the bottom of a flake by a team from the University of Kansas on a Folsom site in Texas called the Shifting Sands site. Artifacts of this size would normally be lost through the screen on any excavation. This was a lucky find.
