Clovis points by woody blackwell

   I'm listing these three points for those who would like to see what some of the Clovis points the New Yorker article "Woody's Dream" wrote about recently. These are the first three points that some thought were ancient Clovis points. But after scientific analysis by Dr. Ken Tankersley they were proven for various reasons to be modern made.

    This is the most skillfully made Clovis point out of this group of three. These points were styled after the Drake cache of Clovis points found several years ago in Colorado.

   These points were chemically treated to look old. They were also heated in an oven, rolled in a rock tumbler and use wear was applied to the edges by cutting leather.

    This was the smallest point in the group. It was resharpened at least one or more times to make it look old.
