   This biface, made of basalt, was found near the

hearth in the Nenana complex occupation level.

Most of the artifacts laying around the hearth were

manufactured from a single basalt core made from

a cobble collected from the underlying terrace gravels.

This biface measures 3 1/8 inches (7.8 cm) long.
