     The 33 tanged Aterian points pictured here are reported
to have come from sites located in southern Morocco.
They represent typical examples of projectile points from
the Aterian stone tool manufacturing industry. These points
were made from various types of cherts of good quality.
They range in size from the largest example in the center,
2 5/8 inches (6.6 cm) long to the smallest located at far right
second row, 1 5/16 inches (3.3 cm) long.
