6-A This Clovis point is made of Utah agate and has some very nicely done diagonal percussion flaking. It's one of the best examples in this cache that shows a "classic" break pattern that is so familiar in Clovis stone tool technology. The large edge-to-edge percussion flake removals (called "outre passe") sometimes break off the opposite edge from which the flake was struck as can easily be seen on this example. |
