BONE CORE This fragment from the mammoth's tibia leg bone was struck from the end to remove a long narrow flake. Flake removals like this one are suggestive of human interaction. The picture to the right shows both the core and the blade that was removed. The lower picture is a triple exposure showing three views of the core. |
